Body & Soul

This page/column was created with the primary intent and hope to help educate, encourage and lead you to a life of true and enduring wellness and fitness.

In sharing my own personal experiences, my struggles as well as my victories, with you, I hope to shed light on the prevailing misconception on the meaning of the term “fitness”, having personally come to terms with the fact that the key components to achieving complete wellness must include mental and spiritual health alongside the physical. This, too, is one of several reasons why I became a certified trainer and recently – nutritionist.

Although you may from time-time see them, my goal is to steer clear of the typical, cliche’ hard-body images and quotes, and, instead, provide you with useful information- diet plans, nutritional facts and recipes, workout routines, and other resources like verses and prayers, that will help to lift your spirit daily.

This page will also serve as an intro and  spin-off to the book I am writing and look forward to have published in the spring of this year titled – “Kingdom Sexy” – a term I adopted while teaching my teen daughter how to remain pure in today’s ‘pop-anything-goes-culture’.

Contrasting from this cultures meaning of the word “sexy”- capturing or invoking someone’s sexual desire; “Kingdom Sexy”, is about wellness, accountability, abstinence, and commitment- a commitment to, not just living, but thriving in a life that is rich in blessings and Gods favor… MIND, BODY and SPIRIT.

Much like the word “sexy”, the word “fitness”- fit•ness ˈfitnəs/ noun, typically defined as, “the condition of being physically fit and healthy”, is also associated with more than one meaning.

I encourage everyone to contribute to this page by way of comments, posts, photos and stories, so fire away! I reserve the right to use any of the material and commentaries posted as content, with prior notice, for -“Kingdom Sexy”.

I look forward to reading your thoughts, and stories, and embarking on this journey with YOU…My hope is that you will not only find these tips and information insightful and practical, but that you will also feel compelled to comment, post, SHARE with friends and family, and invite to them join— ALL ARE WELCOME!

In saving the best for last: May what you see in the mirror delight you, and what others see in you delight them. May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, and tell the world about your virtues.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body”.– 1 Corinthians 6 : 19-20
